I was born and raised in Saskatoon, where I received a biology degree and my veterinary medicine degree from the University of Saskatchewan. I grew up heavily involved in soccer and figure skating and continued to coach both sports through my years of post-secondary education.
I love to watch hockey and baseball and enjoy travelling around North America to watch my favorite teams. I have two cats, Finnigan and Tazer (named after Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks), as well as a golden retriever named Fenway.
My favorite part about veterinary medicine is talking with clients. I have a special interest in feline medicine and spent two years working at a cat-only hospital in Calgary. I am certified as both an AAFP cat-friendly veterinarian and a Fear-Free practitioner. I am passionate about making veterinary visits low stress for both pets and their owners, which in turn makes it low stress for everybody at the clinic.
